Beach Blast!

Beach Blast!

This weekend I was very pleasantly surprised by my very spontaneous husband. After weeks of unseasonaly cold weather, Saturday proved to bring the ray of sunshine we were all awaiting. My husband decided to take us to the seaside for a weekend of fun in the sun. My three kids( one aged nine and twins aged five) were very amused at their usually passive dad who took the reigns into his hands for a change. After a quick breakfast, our luggage( consisting mostly costumes, sunblock and sunhats)packed, we were ready for our adventure.

The sky was a glorious blue and the sea was glittering, beckoning us to enter, God was definately smiling on my family! We unpacked at the self catering apartment and headed for the shores. The sand was warm and tickling our toes, my kis were grinning from ear to ear as they could not believe the sight in front of them. They looked totally adorable in their spanking new costumes and lathered in sunblock from head to toe,  they came equipped with buckets and spades,my son had his dump truck and Bob the builder toys.

The water was icy cold but we all did'nt mind, the tide was high, I am usually very paranoid and hold on to the kids for dear life, telling them not to go too far in to sea(that is usually a metre from shore) but today I let them enjoy their freedom. My eldest daughter was having a blast and my twins were burying their dad in the sand. I was just amzed at how one spontaneous act of going to the beach could be so fulfilling !
